In Australia, most people say ‘resume’.
The term CV for ‘curriculum vitae’ is also used by many.
CVs are usually longer than a resume and list an individual’s full employment history.
Resumes are shorter in length and summarise work history.
SEEK uses ‘resume’ and ‘CV’ interchangeably. Most of SEEK’s career advice blog posts use the term ‘resume’ when discussing the topic.

What does Google Trends tell us?
See the chart – it shows that Australians search the term ‘resume’ more than the term ‘CV’. Interestingly – the chart also shows an overall decline in searches for these terms.
