Interested in working for the NT Government?
Then this post will be helpful because it lists trusted and credible information and links.
The Northern Territory Government’s website on public sector jobs and opportunities is well laid out and is generous in content.
1. How to look up NT Government vacancies
The NT Government’s job search page allows you to search for available jobs and to sign up for job alerts: https://jobs.nt.gov.au
There’s a link to the authorised website outlining government pay rates and conditions: https://ocpe.nt.gov.au
2. About entry level government jobs
The Entry-Level Recruitment (ELR) service makes it easy to get a job in the Northern Territory Public Sector.
If you are looking for entry-level administrative jobs, you can apply using the ELR. An entry-level position is an Administrative Officer 1 (AO1) or an Administrative Officer 2 (AO2).
Registration does not guarantee employment. Vacancies can occur at any time when government employees take leave and or change positions. You do not require specific skills or experience.
3. Register your interest in entry level government jobs.
According to the NT Government website, you can register your skills and job preferences to be matched to entry level administrative jobs. Most of the vacancies range from two weeks to 12 months, although some may be permanent positions.
Temporary jobs have a fixed start and finish date. Sometimes an agency will extend the period of employment. Vacancies can occur at any time.
